Although this isn't the type of website you'd like to search, I hope you find my schedule and registration to be a simple process. Welcome to my page. Please browse around my site to learn more about the program.
What I offer is the 12- Hour DWI Education Program. If you register for the wrong class, there are no refunds. Please make sure this is the correct class for you if you are unsure.
Austin Education Services has been serving the Central Texas community since 2002.
DWI happens!- But it doesn’t have to happen again.
So, why should you come to AES? I can't promise you that this course will be the most exciting 3 days you've spent indoors, but I’m committed to making sure that it’s not as painful as you may be expecting!
When its all done, it won't be as bad as you think.
I was previously approved under the Texas Department of State Health Services, but we are now certified by Texas Department of Licensing and Registration. Every two years, we are requied to re-certify. If you have been arrested for an alcohol related driving offense outside of Texas, as long as your state will allow a TX program, you can attend my program. I have served out of state clients on a regular basis, and it is just as seamless as in-state. If there is any documentation that state requires me to complete, you must bring all forms with you to class.
Course Description
Article 42.12, Section l3(h),Code of Criminal Procedure requires persons convicted of first offense DWI and receiving probation, to attend and successfully complete an educational program certified by the department.
Failure to complete the program within 180 days (unless an extension was granted) from the date probation was granted will result in the offender's license being revoked. The license cannot be reinstated until the educational program is completed.
The standardized program is 12 hours in length and is designed to help DWI offenders increase their knowledge about alcohol and drugs as these substances relate to driving skills, to identify their own individual drinking/drug use and driving patterns, and to assist them in developing plans which will reduce the probability of future DWI behavior.
Specific course topics include:
alcohol/drug and traffic safety problems,
Texas laws relating to DWI,
effects of alcohol/drugs on humans,
alcohol/drugs and driving task abilities,
chemical dependency,
symptoms of dependency,
sources of assistance,
costs of DWI, and
decision-making.
